About us.
ChargeElectric aims to develop a national New Energy Vehicle Charging Network focussed on the tourism industry. At ChargeElectric we believe in the future, and the future is electric and emission free. From renewable energy installations to new energy vehicles and charging stations, the world is changing and we intend to lead from the front.
In Phase 1 we will be installing funded chargers at select tourism destinations across South Africa to provide existing NEW owners the opportunity to explore this amazing country with their electric vehicles. If you are interested to become a site for this project, please contact us directly.
We are powered by GridCars, South Africa’s largest Charge Point Operator with more than 10 years’ experience and currently owning more than 60% of the charging stations across South Africa.

EV Chargers
Efficiency and Reliability
All our chargers are “smart chargers”, i.e. they are connected to the Internet and show as live chargers on the Live Map (link) and the ChargePocket App (link) can be used to charge your car quickly and effectively. The chargers operate on a pay-to-charge principle so users pay to charge their cars, pretty much like you pay to fill your car with fuel.
We are developing a network of AC and DC chargers, with our standard charger a 22kWh Smart AC Charger and our top of the line a 150kWh Smart DC Charger. We deliver custom charging solutions to the site according to the needs of the site.
NEV Chargers
